Activity described

October Pumpkin-shi is a tribal women-led enterprise from Manipur building a purpose-driven home and lifestyle brand around indigenous craftsmanship, curated soy candles and locally sourced materials. We work with traditional artisans, particularly Longpi Black Pottery artisans, to transform indigenous skills and heritage into contemporary, market-ready products while creating sustainable livelihoods and greater market access for tribal communities. Our products have found markets through established organizations and brands including Kadam Haat, Nila House and Jaipur Rugs, and we are currently fulfilling a ₹17.71 lakh B2B order from Kadam Haat. Through the Ministry of Tribal Affairs’ VCF-ST initiative, October Pumpkin-shi has also been sanctioned funding through IFCI Venture Capital Funds Ltd., with final physical signing pending. Our vision is to build a globally recognized brand from Northeast India that enables indigenous communities to turn their culture, craftsmanship and natural resources into dignified and sustainable economic opportunities for present and future generations.
